I think your son has a good defense. The customer will have a hard time


proving your son caused the nick to the picture window since she didn’t realize there was a nick until a week later.

I wouldn’t countersue. Not sure your son has any kind of case and it would make him look litigious and unreasonable.

Did your son get his $500 for the yard work? If not, the value of the service he provided should be an offset to any amount owed.
